MADE THE JUMP

After two great years of owning a 997 I have just sold it vowing to play a more active part in the GB club in 2008. My fantastic grey 997s sport will be with another owner soon as its gone to the OPC and in exchange a 997 turbo tip in basalt black will soon be with me. In fact I see it tomorrow which is always an exciting moment. I was in a GT3 they have last week and tried both back to back and it is really quite mazing how different all these cars are. I have a loan Carrera conv at the moment between changes and that is so different again. I loved the GT3 in white but just think that its too extreme for everyday commuting, so I joined Ecurie25 instead so I can play with those cars later this year. They get the DBS pretty soon. What do turbo drivers think of their cars then everyday?

Certainly a nice range of motors there then [:D]
Nice weekend for a cabriolet, if not a little windy..

I've found the Turbo a pleasure to use everyday, like the whole range in the 997 the car is happy in all weathers.
I was out with Rob the other weekend and whilst Rob had a few disco lights going on within his dash, the TT was well planted, that or the lamps blown in the PSM warning.[]
Whilst looking at the numbers, I attained a higher MPG for the day... if only 0.4 better or something [;)]
Both of us had a great day out, which I believe is part of the ownership experience..

Thanks for the early feedback, I am off to Cannes by car next weekend and was in two minds about taking the rental carrera cab (basic) or the new turbo. A quick drive Sat am made the decision very easy and avoiding putting 2k miles on my new car isnt now getting a look in. After all thats why we buy them, I nearly let me head rule my heart but am over that now!!!! I pick it up Friday night ready for my road trip with a dozen other fast cars (4 or 5 911's an Aston, a Fezza, a Maserati and a 599GTB and a few others for a charity drive before a conference. I cant wait to try this car out on decent pothole free roads where the only problem is avoiding the French Police speed traps. Roll on Friday.....[:D]

French Police speed traps. Roll on Friday.....

have a great time but watch out for those flicks[]
bitter personal experience has told me to keep well within their limits as they have radar traps covering most of the network it seems so they can pick you up half anhour after you have been speeding
