I was a bit wary of taking it off road, didn't fancy explaining to Porsche Edinburgh if I damaged it [&:]
I did desperately want to get it down onto the sand at Crosby Beach to photograph it beside the Anthony Gormley figures, but I couldn't find a way down off the esplanade, so as a substitute, here's muggins instead! [

Thanks John, mine own arrives very shortly and I'm glad I ordered a diesel which should give me about 40 mpg and oodles of grunt.
I haven't driven the diesel, but I was a passenger in it (with Mr Kitchens driving no less!) and it was superb. Another friend in the club Archie Seath (Contraband on here) borrowed the same diesel and raved about it, and in particular how rapid it was. In the real world I'm sure the diesel is every bit as quick, and probably does twice the mpg. There is no denying though, that if you can live with the thirst the V6 twin turbo petrol is an absolute peach of an engine. It amazes me that Porsche can produce such a wonderful motor and make so little use of it.

Excellent writing. Entertaining and informative - a tough balance to achieve, and remit fulfilled admirably!
The cheque is in the post Stephen! [
