Do they fit straight in ?.

Yes , all you have to do is change the electric motor plugs , very easy job to do .These are the last of the 911 seats that go straight into the 944 / 968 then Porsche change the seat runners , seen a lovely sets of hard back 996 Turbo seats at Douglas Valley breakers but I would have had to mess about with the runners and at £700 price tag thought best not bother ! And opted for these instead

Thats worth knowing as I have these seats in my 993, so if I ever wanted to change them, I'll bear in mind they have earlier runners - they are very nice seats though, so not much chance of that [;)]

A pair sold for just over £400 on the bay of fleas recently.

I looked at those seats , offered by Porscha Part with the red piping , and they were the earlier type seats , you can tell by the pattern , these have slight curved stitching and the earliers ones have straight with more lines.

What's the difference between those and the sports seats from a 944? Yes, the stitching is different as is the way the cover is fitted over the headrest but the shape of the seats looks identical.

Oli.

Ye I think your right in what you say , the diffrence is that these seats were removed from a £25000 911 993 Model Porsche and that must make them one of the best replacement seats AVL to the 944 enthusiast ! I would have fitted a pair of hard back 968 CS seats but they are like rocking horse u know what to get hold of !

Nice seats!!

I know what you mean about the 968CS seats.. I want a set myself for a project I am working on.
