when I bought my boxster the next thing i found i needed was luggage that fits into it.but i refuse to pay porsche prices so i had a shop around and found some plain blue canvas holdalls(£19.95) with matching vanity case(£10.50) in my local co,op store and carefully sewed on porsche crests.thay look great and completly fooled my(only if it' s designer label)daughter.
anyone eles have any good tips.

oddly enough those cheap plastic holdalls much favoured by market tradesmen and illegal street traders are a perfect fit for the front boot. I use them whenever we go on holiday in the Boxster - obviously with smart lugggage in the rear boot to wheel into the hotels!

guy. i now have a mental picture of you dashing back and forth from your car filling the posh luggage so you don' t have to be seen with your dodgy tradesmans bags[:D][:D][:D]

Your mental image is probably right - normally luggage exchange takes place in a furtive manner in the deepest recesses of the hotel car park...

Here' s a link to a Samsonite case for the front boot:

At xmas NEXT had a range of black leather cases which looked ideal and were about 1/4 the price of the official Porsche ones.

I like soft bags like holdalls as I seem to be able to cram more into them. I' ve found that you can get two large holdalls in the front (one on top of other) and have room in the corners for odds and ends.

Watch out for any sharp objects protruding from luggage as the boot lid is very thin and can dent if closed onto an over packed compartment.

I' ve only recently had to carry any luggage in my 02. My 5 year old samsonite fits under the hood (with a little help) and I aquired a £20 one, similar in design but which was slightly flatter so it would fit in the boot from Woolworths. Both work a treat. As for having to show the bags off when arriving at the destination, if the top is down, (or not), the last thing people look at is the badge on your bags.

I have a soft suitcase that fits in the the bonnet of my 3.2 carrera, bought ' cause of the size, not the name (I don' t even know the name) - who cares what people think. But then, we eat in smart restaurants in Europe in jeans/tee-shirt/trainers.
Comfort/food first.

I bought 2 of these from Debenhams last year for a ridiculously low price - 1 for the front boot, one for the back boot . Enough space inside - 1 for me and 1 for my wife. Fits perfectly. Served us for 2 weeks touring the Italian Lakes last year
