Luggage covers with the Porsche crest

I was always brought up to believe that it was impolite to criticise another's perceived lack of taste unless asked for such critique. It would appear my opinions are somewhat old-fashioned and things have moved on, as shall I.

Glenn, chill man ! we all like different things and variety is the spice of life, if that ticks the boxes for the OP then great, it does not make him a bad guy, as previously said Porsche have stuck enough scripts on the cars to let people know what they are, 95% of people will already know that anyway, it seems to be a bit OTT for me, but as said it is down to the OP's choice, personally not for me, a bit Barry IMO.
But each to their own, no big deal.

I love to come back from a holiday to find you all falling out without my help, lol! [:D][:D]

IMO the luggage blind is a custom build, the OP has every right to want one if he chooses, but it's really not very nice. [:'(]

Spend the money on improving the car in other ways, like driving improvements rather than cosmetic, unless you have an unlimited budget. In which case you really won't care what people say about your taste on forums!

Paul, Have you received my e mail regards another 944 Registrar sticker for my 220 Turbo ? i know OT..............lazy !

Yep, but have been away. I have quite a lot of catching up to do, your's is on the list. To be honest, with the Christmas post I've been leaving most non-urgent things to the new year. [:)]

*cough* my register sticker and PCGB sticker wouldn't come off the screen of my old car.

If you've got a list and a book of stamps I've got a brand new windscreen they can go on before it gets fitted in January :)

Wow, seems I'll have to find some extra skin layers to apply next time I decide to post!

Thank you to those who responded constructively to my questions in the OP and for confirming it's not an officially made piece of kit. Armed with that knowledge, I'll now happily pass on pursuing this method of brightening up an ugly piece of 944 interior furniture. My beautiful new S2 purchase poses more pressing requirements which can't involve seeking out screen-printers or embroiderers. It was just a passing fancy!

As for the unsolicited opinions from the self-appointed taste police that make up the rest of this thread, seriously - go get some fresh air or something! Forum etiquette and all that.

Mark, we are not such a bad bunch once you get to know us and we have pulled our 944 heads out of our butts[:D]. Congrats on the new purchase and excellent choice of 944 model, enjoy!

Hi Mark

I remember you were a 'spottee!' - no, I'm not commenting on your facial complexion [:D] but Jeremy (Fat Albert) had posted up spotting you. Hope you're enjoying your S2 and no, you don't generally need extra skin layers here, we are really a friendly bunch.

It would be nice to see some pics of your new purchase [8D]

Cheers
Andy

Aye pics always welcomed on here, as Ed has posted we really don't bite, one forum i frequent has a tradition of telling first time posters to f... o.., they are then welcomed [:D]

Let him without bling cast the first brick-bat. Does anyone who has posted negatively on here have a standard, unmodified car?

Glenn this is not an issue of modified v unmodified, it is a question of taste.

Edd

No... it's a matter of some people believing THEIR taste in modifications is OK and someone else's isn't. Taste is subjective. If someone wants to put a blind with a Porsche crest on it in their car it is entirely their business. The original poster obviously liked it and he didn't ask for anyone's style critique, or their ridicule for his taste, merely where he could get it from. I sincerely hope that he hasn't been driven away from the forum by some of these responses.

Yep, totaly agree with you there Glen. Hope the chap hasn't been driven away indeed!! Shame on the rest of you!! I'm now considering bringing "YOBO" to your 944 trackday in March to cane your 44's and wipe the smiles from your faces!![8D][:D]

Welcome on board Mark - congrats on the purchase and for waking up the most number of forum members in one post :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
