Lowering Springs For 1990 S2

Another thread revival :D

If anyone is looking for a cheap set of lowering springs, then CP4L / ECP have them listed very cheap for a pair of H&R springs (listed for the 968 but will fit late model 944s without M030 shocks).

Use code MID20 for another 20% off which made 2 of them £135, it says it is a kit, but I think you have to order 2, will find out if the honour the order :)

Failing that the 968 CS springs are still available from Porsche for approximately £200 for the pair, but I was after 30mm to match how low the rear is on my car, and the CS springs are only 20mm.

You could get GAZ Gold front struts and springs, fully adjustable ride height and choose your spring stiffness. I started with 300lb springs but went to 275lb when I had them rebuilt. Mine have been on the car about 14 years, rebuilt both sides twice. Cheap to rebuild. Probably cost about £500 for 2 adjustable shocks with height and rebound adjust and the springs, absolutely masses of rebound adjust, 28 clicks hard to soft. You can only use them when the car is down 30mm at the back which would be fine for you. The springs are about £25 a side if I recall correctly and the dampers £200 ish each. Puts the cost of H&R and OEM springs into perspective..............

Warren Gazzard is your man to deal with. Good customer service.

Much better than Spax customer service, I needed a set of bolt collars for my 2 rear struts with helper springs, the collars were £15 and delivery was £20 as "that's the deal we have with FedEx up to 30 kilos weight" :ROFLMAO: Most unfortunate that the guy at the breakers yard deemed the collars unnecessary when he removed them lol. In fairness he only charged me £100 for both struts almost new with springs and seats and now both my front and rears are adjustable for rebound and height. Came off the same car I got my mint turbo s gearbox off so did well all round with that!
