low temperature light

Dear All.I am a new boy to the Porsche Club and this forum,my problem is with my temperature gauge on my 2003 Carrera 4S the worst thing about it it is it is an intermitant problem.Have had the water system checked and refilled with coolant at Porsche Bolton to check for any airlocks, both temperature sensors have been replaced and also the thermostat. When the computer was hooked up after running for half an hour it was only showing 60 degrees. Now you can run out in the car and it will be perfect but it will only run at 80 degrees when you are on the motorway when you are in town or just driving around the country roads it is showing under 80 degrees, the gauge also seems to take a long time to reach temperature. When the temperature gauge goes off and the red light flashes it is only up to the first notch then after a minute or two it returns to normal.Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards Brian

Is it a Tiptronic, by any chance?

Edit: Sorry!

I remember a couple of people having this problem. It is caused by a vacuum pipe becoming disconnected or crimped on the control valve for the tiptrinic fluid cooler. The valve stays open, leaving the cooler radiator at the front of the car permanently in the cooling circuit. This causes overcooling, hence the long time for the engine to reach temperature, or not reach the operating temperature at all.

I'll try to find the original thread on here.....

Edit: Found it! take a look at this post: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/fb.asp?m=426414
