For some time, my Cayman has suffered a vibration from about 65mph. I think the vibration started after I had new rear tyres fitted, but I’m not certain as shortly after that a pothole incident meant I had to have two new front tyres. All four tyres were new Michelin PS2s.
All four wheels/tyres have been balanced at three different tyre fitters but the vibration persists. I know that the two front wheels have a very small dent on the rim but the tyre fitters have told me that I shouldn’t notice it! Sometimes I think I might just be imagining the vibration!
Before I start looking for other sources of vibration I thought I’d ask if anyone in the Salisbury/Southampton area could lend me some wheels/tyres which I could try in order to help me rule in, or out, the possibility that my own wheels or tyres are the cause. Maybe someone has some winter tyres/wheels they’re not using at the moment?. I’d only need them for an hour or so.
Thanks.
