Leaky Radiator & Germany don't have stock!!!

Hi

I have a leaky Radiator, My local OPC can't find any stock & Germany have suggested we contact them again in mid April!!!!!

Does anyone know of any alternative source? or a way of sealing the leaking lower corner of the Rad (externally)

I would prefer not to use an internal sealant.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

P.s Yes before you ask I have already posted this on 968UK with no replies.

Fortunately i only work a couple of miles away & the leak is quite small (at present) so i can get away with topping it up every couple of days.

the other option is a 944 turbo rad or S2 and a blanking plug

ECP say they have a S2 rad in stock £299

I have a cap and clip brand new if you want them

NRF Radiator Part No.: 203330100

Is the only difference the additional hose point that needs blocking off?

I believe so, but don't hang me if im wrong, I know the early rads are about an inch to small in height

Ive emailed my local OPC to see if they have stock of the turbo Rad & see if it's possible to get a look at one.

Ive also asked a fellow R26er who has a turbo to see if he has one or at least a photo, have 2 places to call tomorrow so will see what comes up. have topped up 3/4 of a ltr of fluid tonight which has taken a week to loose, only have a couple of miles each way to work so i'm not in a desperate situation (yet)

I am liking your plan, we'll we can't seem to be able to get a radiator for the 968, so looks like we will have to upgrade to the 997 turbo a bit early! [8D]

2 options left as i see it.

Option 1
Custom Rad made from using mine as a template no price but possibly around the £400+ mark & at least a week with the car off the road.

Option 2
Buy a Turbo Rad 951 106 031 50 (getting price from OPC, although Euro car parts have stock)
Difference is (allegedly but not confirmed) height is 327mm instead of 356mm, seal additional pipe using Cap 944 106 103 02 & Clip 999 512 392 00

Make spacer kit to jack up the Rad by 29mm (as i work in an engineering company) & sell the spacer kits to all of you guys when you need a replacement Rad []

I fitted an old 2.5 RAD in a get me out of the SH1T moment and yes they are a bit shorter and a bit thinner, can you not find one for an S2?

We can obtain the correct NRF version for a 968 manual in 7-10 days. Item # 1372 on our site
