Hi Richard- looks really good are you going to Silverstone July 14th evening.
I am going not to track but to catch up with Darren and Ollie and see some of
the other 944 lads- it looks like it will be well attended.
If not i would like to come over to see her sometime and compare ride heights.

Thanks for that Patrick, and that's on top of the £1600+ I spent at Xmas on new sills, respray both sides, front P.U, new stone guards......so that's £6k plus in 6 months - ouch [].......good job I don't have any boostie bits(or aircon), otherwise I think my wallet would have raped me.

Forgot to mention general ride quality - obviously firmer and possibly a bit 'choppy' compared to the shagged old set up. SWMBO found it a bit harsh, but that was only a week after abdominal surgery. She's now got used to it and can even appreciate the flatter ride through fast bends with the much reduced body roll. When I say 'appreciate', I mean feel the difference, whilst not necessarily enjoying it as much being the passenger(which she always is).[]

Oh and I've also booked the non too shabby wheels to be refurbished, but sadly this won't be til the 20th of this month.

Pauly - that's what I thought when I totted up the bill

Paul - well noted....yes it's surprising how all the bits and pieces add up, e.g seized calliper bolts, geo @ £220 + VAT since not done in house etc.

New steering shaft
New power steering pump

What were the reasons for replacing those?

Because there was play in the steering U.J and the steering pump was leaking. The mounting to the steering pump also needed replacing due to a couple of sheared bolts. This was another £100 which I'd forgotten, but luckily RPM sorted me one 2nd hand as the OPC price of the new part is over £500!!

Ron - I probably won't make the Silverstone eve, but I'll give you a call next week if you'd like to pop over. I think it will be an interesting comparison.

Hello Ben,

Yours isn't looking bad either [] All work done by RPM - calliper overhaul £60.53 each plus 2x £25 + VAT for drilling out seized bolts. Just checked invoice and I've been charged a total of £80 + VAT for shims [&:] ..... I'll be phoning them in the morning to clarify.
