KW Suspension for sale

I bought a set of secondhand KW V3 from Ollie at RPM late last year, it came off his 944 and had covered a few hundred miles. RPM have held on to this for me until I was ready to have it fitted to my car. Unfortunately I need more work done on my belts etc than I had anticipated and this year's maintenance budget has been blown already! coupled with the fact that my car is a Cab and probably won't reap the full benefits of uprated suspension I am thinking of selling, would anyone be interested? I would only be looking to recoup what I paid, let me know if you are interested.

Joss, good to catch up with you yesterday,

Thanks for the offer to hold them for me, that was very kind I think you will have no problem selling especially with a saving of around a third of the new price and with them only coverering that mileage

If one of these other fellers has the finance to hand please don't wait for me.

Also hope the 2nd opinion on the car is a better one.

There seem to be a few of us interested. Have you a set price, on a first-come-first-served basis, or might you auction them to find the highest bidder?

Not sure what a set of V3's cost you guys in the UK, but there is a Canadian chap selling his on Rennlist for $1900US. Seems a good deal.

Well, that got everyone excited! I must apologise for going off line just after posting the original offer, I don't think anyone got any responses from me - I'll go and clear my inbox out now so that people can post to it.

Things have moved on a little, I think that the KWs may now be on my car, I need to catch up with RPM to find out where they are up to with the work.

If I am still able to sell them then I may go for an auction approach as there seems to be a lot of interest. just so you know the ball park I paid £960 for them and I would be looking to set that as a reserve, they have covered less than 1000 miles (Ollie thought it was between 400-600 miles) I don't know if they fit a 968 but I'm sure that you can sort out the compatibility yourselves.

I'll put up another post to keep you updated - and probably PM everyone who is interested once I know what I'm doing. Sorry to keep you hanging on but the only reason that I'm selling them is to minimise the outlay and if they are already on the car then it seems a bit self defeating to pay to have them removed and then have a new geo setup with my old shocks.

Was at rpm this morning. The KWs are your your car already.

Love the Tahoe blue!!! Makes me want to respray mine in the same colour...

well at least you know that IF you wanted to move them on,......there's probably someone who would be interested, me included[:)]

Promax David?

Yes, and only a month ago. Incidentally I did a fairly comprehensive websearch and could only improve this by barely £50, granted without any negotiation. I can dig out the fitting and geological costs if anyone is interested.

Well that sounds like I won't be selling them then! I guess that after the bill from RPM I should at least chuck in the KW suspension so that I notice some change in the car for all the money I will have spent on oil seals, belts and pulleys!

Thanks for the compliment on the colour - I'm rapidly losing love for the car right now so any positive comment helps! All I can say is that the next owner of the car will be getting the most incredible deal.

They can be a tough car to love sometimes (when they keep costing you money). Just do a bit of research to see what alternatives you could get to replace it and you'll find the love soon returns (because there aren't any!)
