Hi, i have a 3.2 cayenne s, only 33k miles, need to get up to 15 mph before 2nd gear kicks in, and when it does it makes a crunch noise. Noise doesnt recur at higher gears or when it shifts down. Any ideas pls? Car has had no modifications etc. Would appreciate any thoughts, thanks.

I have had this with my S from new when started from cold it holds the 1st gear change apparently this is related to getting up to temperature for emissions (this is what I was told)I get a teeny noise when mine is cold aswell on first gearchange then it is silent. I am over a 100k miles and gearbox is fine.
You could change the oil in gearbox and have the fault memory cleared.I don't think u have a problem.
