KLR Knock Output

Does anyone know which wire on the KLR loom provides the knock signal? I want to tap off it to feed a digital counter to count knock but am having problems locating which one it is... I believe that it's Pin 15 but I can't find a schematic of the plug, or pin numbers on the plug, or wire colours, so I'm having problem tying it down... Anybody?

Paul

Its pin 4 on the small socket near the KLE/DME IIRC.

That's Pin 4 of the diagnostics plug, isn't it - I didn't think that I had one of those as it's an '88 car (correct me if I'm wrong however I can't find it!!). Hence trying to figure out how to identify the wire at the KLR end. Rennlist has colours for the US market but I'm a bit unsure whether the ROW cars are the same...

Just looked at the cct diags and I think it says 1.0 Bl but my eyes are old....

My '86 certainly has the socket in the footwell and I have a counter wired to it. Would have thought an '88 would too.
Can check the colours when theres daylight

Doh! The output from the KLR only feeds the diagnostic so if I have an output, I must have a diagnostic port... Guess it's 'cos I just can't see it. Where is yours located?

Passenger footwell, along with the KLR and dME. Its a rectangular black 12 or 14 pin socket, been a while since I looked

Curtis digital counter from the US, around $30 ea. There is a thread on Rennlist which describes how to mod it to introduce a backlight and a reset button. To ensure that you're only counting knocks when they are important, there are also details about introducing a pressure switch to ensure you're only counting while on boost!!
