Hi Guys,

New to the group!

I've had my car for 3 weeks now, Fixed a few things like the roof and older looking trim, Now looking at the next big job,

Since I've owned the car the key has never worked unlocking or locking the car, I've always had to do this from the drivers door then quickly put the key in the ignition to stop the alarm going off!

Had the key checked and its sending out a signal, Red light also flashes when you press it, But no talking with the car itself,

Has anything had this happen before and what was the fix?

Also only have 1 Key with the car!

Thank you in advance

Joe

Hi Joe.
The key maybe needs re syncing
Especially if the battery has been changed or removed or gone flat.

You can try putting the key into the ignition turn to on position but not starting it, hold either the unlock or lock button for 10 seconds .
See if that does the trick otherwise it may need to go to a specialist to be reprogrammed.
Or try these guys if all fails http://www.keyfobrepair.co.uk,/
Good luck
Cliff
