Kentwell Hall event

Having just moved to near Bury St Edmunds and changed from Chiltern to Norfolk and Suffolk region this was the ideal opportunity to take my recently purchased 996 along for its first outing. What a wasted day. Parked up and went to enter the house gardens only to find out that that dogs aren't allowed, meaning all we could do was hang around the parking area.
We were told by a Kentwell House guide that it was stated on their website (which it was after we looked long enough), but there was no mention of it on the R11 webpage, and the link to buy tickets took you only to the relevant page on the Kentwell site (which had no mention of the no dogs rule).
The Kentwell guide advised us she would kindly arrange a refund. We were able to speak with the R11 RO before leaving to outline our disappointment and advised him that it would help greatly if when organising such events that the relevants information is included on the PCGB site, or a link as approproriate, which he admitted would be useful, and apologised.
If anyone else (we know of at least one other couple) wishes to request a refund I'd advise contacting Dawn Basham at office@kentwell.co.uk.
Some nice cars on view (including Ferrari's and Aston's), but we weren't there long to appreciate them unfortunately.

Thank you for your post and highlighting this issue to us, the event was organised by The Essex Region of Porsche Club, ticketing was through Kentwell Hall.
The ticket acknowledgement sent to you from Kentwell Hall clearly stated in red and i quote from the acknowledgement:
Please note - we do not admit dogs to the gardens and grounds - we are a working farm and our farm animals are too exciting for doggy visitors!

We admit the terms and conditions for Kentwell were not referenced on the PCGB webpage before purchase but they are specified on the Kentwell Hall website.
Whilst we accept and will in future reference T & C's links when using a venue before ticket purchase, we cannot be held responsible for your 'wasted day' when it was so clearly stated on your acknowledgement.
I understand Kentwell Hall have agreed to refund your tickets and we are sorry you were not able to attend the event.

Thanks for the reply Martin, although worth pointing out that the note about dogs not being allowed being on the acknowledgement comes after purchasing of the tickets, which in my book is too late. We raised this issue with the guide on the day, and she agreed that it should be at point of payment and not after.
