Just brought my first macan.

Hi Adam

Welcome to the club and great choice with the Macan Turbo Performance. I had one for 5 years (2020-2025) and what a great car, you won't be disappointed with the performance!

Only concern would be the cam cover bolts and transfer box replacements - these are both well known problems and covered under the extended Porsche warranty for replacement. If you don't have Porsche warranty then make sure they have been replaced before purchase otherwise the bill would be in the region of £4-5k for both repairs.

Enjoy your new Porsche

The main area of concern relates to the transmission transfer box. I believe it is being covered by Porsche warranty for 7 years, so probably out of time for this vehicle.

Things to check are:-
  • Listen for any unusual noises from the transmission.
  • Check for any gear shift problems.
  • Check for any juddering moving off or reversing.
  • Inspect for any fluid leaks around the transfer case.
Regards,

Clive
