As you will have seen in the latest PP, we have been invited to attend the annual Hope For Tomorrow charity polo day, which will take place at the Beaufort Polo Club alongside Westonbirt Arboretum. Hope For Tomorrow are the PCGB chosen charity and have a number of motor racing personalities among their patrons, including Derek Bell MBE.

Although there is the option of a three-course lunch plus afternoon tea and more, members may also purchase a day ticket giving access to the ground, clubhouse and reserved parking for only £5/person. It it advantageous to the Charity if these are purchased in advance as they get 100% of the amount, although you can still pay on the day if you wish.

To obtain advance tickets and to reserve a parking space please contact RosaWoodley@hopefortomorrow.org.uk for a booking form. If you have never experienced polo you have missed out on one of the most exciting and fast-moving of sports, so why not give it a try?

This looks like a nice day out in lovely surroundings. Unfortunately we'll be away so can't attend but have a great time.

While attendance suffered due to the day clashing with a number of established events -such as Goodwood and Castle Combe- and an absolutely dire weather forecast, as it turned out we had excellent conditions, allowing those not partaking of the fine dining to picnic in baking heat. We saw some excellent sport too and made a couple of new converts to polo. Hope For Tomorrow, the PCGB chosen charity, were also more than pleased to receive a cheque for £23000, so a successful day all round.
