Interesting. I am sure it will be very good but Jaguar owners are (or were) notoriously picky. It has been postulated that at least one of the reasons why the XJ220 didn't sell as expected was the use of a 6 cylinder turbo as opposed to the V12 originally expected. I wonder if times have changed?

a bit of a better link, minus facebook.

Yes it will be interesting to see if it makes production, however it seems to be the future, high performance hybrids. I wonder how much influence the Porsche hybrid had with it's iirc 800bhp and 88mpg stats.
Very interesting times ahead it seems..

The 88mpg claim of the 918 is stretching the truth somewhat. An 1800kg lump with 2 engines and 200mph potential is not more frugal than a Polo diesel. It is just able to crawl around the majority of the European Drive Cycle on battery power. Like most hybrids, real world fuel and well-to-wheel C02 consumption will be pretty pathetic.

Still, I like the styling of the Jaguar and the gas tubines could be interesting.
