Im glad to hear that its sorted out Pete. I have always found that USPS and RM are the easiest and cheapest solution. The US Postal Service are usually the cheapest and it gets here in a few days and Royal Mail are FAR less likely to collect duty and their charges are the cheapest when they do.

I suspect that most of the problem was caused by the vendor here.

Well I-J certainly didn't help, if you look at one of my earlier posts you'll see that USPS finally received my parcel on the 11th July, so yes a two week delay there from I-J as I ordered and paid on the 29th June. However USPS's service is very bad too, this was supposed to be a 6-10 day service which has actually taken 17 so even allowing for weekends that's not very good. Still as long at it arrives tomorrow I'll be happy and can move on, for future overseas orders I'll return to Fedex who unfortunately weren't on the list of options for delivery, not cheap but very fast.

God I hope not... that would really slow me down, probably loose at least 3 secs to the 100mph...

finally I have the scraper in my hands, however I have a slight problem. Nothing to do with the scraper itself, more to do with my lack of thinking ahead, which in my defence is a little unusual for me.

The issue is that when I set the main studs I set them just deep enough for the nut to fit, completely forgetting about having to fit the scraper on top so I now don't have enough thread left to safely fit the scraper. So once I get over this annoying feeling of stupidity I 'll have to face the fact that I'll need to take the mains ladder frame back off and reset the studs...lol Although looking on the bright side I was never happy with the idea of only undoing the six nuts required to fit the scraper, much better to re-torque the whole frame down afresh. I'll have a better idea of what's needed once I get back into the workshop.

Anyway here's a picture as promised...

edit:.. panic over, just checked the scraper on the block, I was thinking that you used both washers, original and I-J's, but looking at it in the flesh so to speak that would be wrong and using the I-J washers in place of original there's enough thread as I-J's are thinner, I guess to allow for fitting the scraper, so all ok again.
