I have been ejected unceremoniously from London and find a quiet echoey nature to the Chiltern forum section - are there any other Porsche owners there??

Who are all the new friends that I am to meet?

Where and when do you meet and why has nobody posted anything for so long?? Are you all shy?

Can anyone hear me?

Phil,

I am in the same boat as you and thought exactly the same When I looked on Friday night. I have no idea where, when or if they meet and I can't seem to find the last copy of Porsche Post to see if there is any info in there.

We always have the option to move back to the London region, or just attend the London events anyhow. I will try to attend the Ace Cafe meet on this coming Monday night, this is an 'unofficial' Porsche club night and was well attended the last time I went.

Well, there's one here! New PCGB member and yet to attend a monthly meeting - though I might go to the next one - 1 Feb.

FYI, meetings are held from 7.30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at the Royal Oak at Chipperfield, a few mins off the A41 just NW of Watford. Non-members welcome? Haven't a clue.

PS Will get to one of the Ace Cafe meets before long...

I 'll get to the Ace Cafe if I can - last time I went was with my son and his little mini cooper buddies (bunch of pimply noisy teenagers) I expect the Porsche fraternity a little less uncouth. (more couth perhaps)

Thanks for info about Royal Oak - I also should find last Porsche Post.

By the way - I am a Porsche Club member - can anyone who reads this tell me why it would say I'm a non member on left?? Cant seem to change it in my profile.

Guys -you are at liberty to attend any regional meeting you wish!!!

See you at the Ace, which is 'official' Porsche night, on the 31st January.......

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!

From Mark Bennett, it's on every one of his posts:

If it says "Non Member" under your name, you are not seeing all of the forum. To fix this you need to confirm your Name, Membership Number and Forum Name to Club HQ (email cluboffice@porscheclubgb.com).

Done that but no response and no result! Worth a chase (though it really shouldn't be necessary...)??

I'm afraid that with the departure of the wonderful Sophia, there are a few things that need chasing.........

Hi there,

Chiltern Region is a very active region and meets on the first Tuesday of the month at The Royal Oak, Chipperfield. WD4 9LR. There is usually someone there from about 7.30 ish. Martin and Carol Nelson are the Regional Organisers. The car park usually gets full so be advised and get there early. Hope to see you there.

Having been the London Regional Organiser for 11 years, it was with great dissapointment that the region has been "reorganised" with apparrent little knowledge of the geography of London. The overall cost of this imposed change must be in the region or in excess of £1000.00

A new Regional Organiser has come forward with some new and exciting idears, and I hope that you will all give him your support. His name is Johannes ,his wife is Helen.

My last article in Porsche Post was heavily censored ,and my introduction of Johannes and Helen was taken out.

Obviously it is up to each and every member to chose the region they wish to support . As a point of interest each Regional Organiser is allowed a budget of £1.50 per area member to cover various costs in running the region. This is "NOT" an income, just cover some of the out pocket expenses.

Having visited the Chiltern Region I have to say that Martin Nelson runs it very well and is always open to any suggestions for any new idears and events. He also runs a full e-mail news letter of his events.

HOPE TO SEE AS MANY OF YOU AS POSSIBLE AT THE ACE CAFE.

Hi Melvyn,

Looking forward to seeing you at Ace Cafe on Monday.

Bye for now.

Hey! Steady guys! I'm not used to all this frantic posting on this bit of the forum! [;)]

Another R21 regular reporting here.

New members are very welcome at The Royal Oak Chipperfield, Martin Nelson always seeks out new members attending for the first time.

I don't think you could wish for a more active and organised Region [:)]

Just goes to show that you can't judge the activity of a Region, or register, for that matter, by the activity, or lack of it, on the Forum.

I guess there are some who forget that there are other ways of communicating, apart from the internet. [;)]

I can vouch for the fact that the Royal Oak's car park is full to overflowing on Club Night! Keep up the good work!

OK, for those who want to experience what a vibrant, busy Club night is like - come down to The Royal Oak in Chipperfield, near Kings Langley on Tuesday 1st February [:)]

WE ARE REGIONAL ORGANISERS OF REGION 24 BEDS AND CAMBS AND WE ALSO ATTEND CHILTERN CLUB NIGHT IT IS A VERY FRIENDLY REGION MARTIN AND I WORK CLOSELY TOGETHER ORGANISING JOINT EVENTS.I ALSO ATTEND CHILTERNS KARTING EVENTS AT KINGS CROSS RACEWAY AND OTHER VENUES.WE HAVE ALSO ATTENDED ACE CAFE WHICH IS FAB.
