iPod Connection to Boxster Radio

Anyone now how I can connect my iPod to my Boxster radio. I have read that you can get a, and I quote
"Factory stereo iPod adapters' interfaces that are made specifically to connect your iPod to your factory radio. They connect to your factory radio CD changer port and to the iPod, so the sound quality is optimal".
Has anyone found one or know how it can be done. Looking at the radio handbook for a CR22 there apears to be a connector 'C2' which is there for a CD changer that could be used.

Try using an FM transmitter. Connects to your ipod (or anything that has a 3.5 mm headphone socket. Tune your radio to the required frequency and listen in stereo over the radio. Can be used on any radio (hifi in the house etc). Mine has a range of about 75 yards. If you want details email me.

I think the better route is the Dension kit and looking at the link it appears to be a proper job.

Watch out - any iPod system that 'transmits' to any radio [rather than conncting by wire] probably commits a criminal offence under the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949!! [:'(]
 
and the law is likely to change later this year with resect to FM transmitters - thanks to apple and ebay there are so many of them around now, it makes no difference.
 
They have such a low range it is not surprising. Mine works great in the car. The best thing is having your favourite CD being played on the garage ghetto blaster and through the car stereo at the same time. Saves having to play it really loud and offending the neighbours.
About £7 on ebay and no wiring. PnP.

The only downside to the FM transmitters is that on a long journey it is difficult to find a totally free frequency along the complete length of your journey and you invarably have to keep tuning into a different frequency which is a pain especially if you are on your own. But if you do find a completely clear channel the quality is very good.
 
I have just had a meeting with an electrical engineer from Ford on another subject and I mentioned what I was trying to do. He says that there is an MP3 connector released for Fiesta (about £4.99) which may be adaptable if the correct pins and connector can be obtained for the CDR22 unit. I'm on the case!
