Anyone want to join the Cotswold Region for a breakfast meet at the Chariots and Cherry Pie American style diner this Sunday morning (11th May)? The diner is located on the A420 near Buckland, Oxfordshire roughly halfway between Swindon and Oxford. You'll be more than welcome.

We'll be meeting there at 09:00. As they've an extensive all day menu we doubt we'll be leaving much before 11:30. More details here.

Alan.

Due to problems with the Avenue Drivers Club location in Bristol today, where a number from R16 regularly gather on the second Sunday for breakfast and a chat, some decided earlier in the week to try the Shelsley Walsh Breakfast Club. A joint breakfast meeting in future might be a good idea though. Perhaps at somewhere like Kemble?

Thanks for today Cotswolds boys nice breakfast. Look forward to doing some run outs from the diner, if need help planning routes I know some great runs and locations to go to. Perhaps Avebury stones, then pub for coffee (Red lion)..Cracking route there I know with brilliant scenery - views, nice villages etc...

Following the success of our last breakfast meet, we've decided to do another one at the Chariots and Cherry Pie American style diner on Sunday 8th June at 09:00. Once again, we'd like to extend an invitation to any R16 members who would like to come along. The diner is located on the A420 beside the BP garage near Buckland, Faringdon, Oxfordshire SN7 8PY - 14 miles East of Swindon (Sainsbury's) and 12 miles West of Oxford (Seacourt Tower). It can be found on Google Maps [link=https://goo.gl/maps/N2SGv]here[/link]. If there's enough interest we may do a cruise afterwards somewhere around the Kennet Valley, Avebury, Wantage area (or not). Please let us know if you'd like to join us.

Thanks for that, I will put an email out to our members and have a chat about it at our meeting this week. I would have done the same last time but with preparing for testing and racing at Croft that week it was all a bit hectic. Derek, a day at AV8 looking around the hangars is always popular and I am sure our New Faces would like to step inside the Britannia and of course the photo of the cars with the Aircraft is a great momento

Just to advise you that the R31 Breakfast meet at the Chariots and Cherry diner this Sunday has been cancelled. Unfortunately the diner is not going to be open as the re-building work taking place there has over-run its expected completion date. We will announce another date (probably first week in July) as soon as we hear from them.

Good point Ted. We'll probably be watching it on TV after we get back from the diner. The catering at Silverstone leaves something to be desired. [;)]
