Interment Starting issue

Hi, looking for some recommendations / suggestions please. I have a 1998 Carrera Coupe Manual and am suffering from an intermittent start issue. Can go for ages where it starts on the button, but then sometimes work start. When I say won't start, I mean that the ignition lights are on, the key turns, but no cranking. Up to now I have replaced the ignition switch, starter relay and starter motor and was working fine last year, but I put it away, when the salt appears on the road. However, it happened again this morning when getting it ready for its MOT, left it for 20 mins, went back and it started and continues to start every time. It happens when hot or cold before and after journeys and is doing my head in. Fault reader shows no trouble codes.

Would welcome any suggestions or any recommendations of a Porsche independent near Worksop / Doncaster area as I need to get this fixed.

Hi Richard,

It sounds as though you could have an earthing problem with the starter motor or perhaps an issue with the motor itself.🤔

I would think that any garage should be able to help, but you could try Googling to see if there are any Porsche Independents in your area.
