****** Insurers

I'm on a limited milage policy with my s2 but they have never asked the original milage or the milage at time of renewal .How does that work then ?

I had that this year. As I won't exceed it, and the MOT etc. show the mileage at a fixed time, I'm not worrying, but it's not ideal from their point of view. [8|]

I find the best solution is to lie. ...

As an insurance contract is "Of the utmost good faith" you might want to withdraw that comment as your insurers could withdraw you insurance.

This was of course a comment purely designed for entertainment, light banter. I have personally never lied to my insurance company [:)]

Do be careful, insurers have whole teams devoted to scouring forums for evedence of fraud!

Did they ask you about your performance car experience? If not threaten to sue them for sexual discrimination; :)

Thank you I will remember that.

Another vote for Classic Line (provided it's for a second car!). I've had lots of insurance fun the past few months through acquiring the cabriolet a few months before I sold the coupe, and they've been fantastic - changed the coupe policy from garaged to driveway, no cost, just increased the excess from £100 to £250, then when I sold the coupe a couple of months later, changed the policy from coupe to cab, no cost, excess back to £100 as she's garaged. Only thing they could not do was insure the "additional" car for more than 30 days, and I knew it would take longer than that to sell the coupe (for a start, I was taking it to Le Mans!). Our shopping trolley is insured with Saga, so I insured the cab with them for the required couple of months, got a good price as an existing customer, and also no penalty for early cancellation.
