Insurance & Valuations

Hi

I'm just trying to renew my insurance, and the current values are causing a few issues. Basically, my existing insurer (Competition Car Ins) wont go over £125k, so having to look elsewhere.

Lockton, who run the club scheme seem pretty good, as with an agreed value of up to £250k they are about £200 pa more than the existing policy, which was based on a value of £120k.

So two things to ask:

1) Is there any body else I should try (must include track day cover), and
2) I need to get a valuation, but need a contact.

any help gratefully received

Manning for insurance ....extra for Spa and Ring
Paul Howells for valuation as a suggestion.......
cheers

Classicline recommended too. Also they don't insist on a Tracker being fitted if you don't want one whereas other insurers do.

Hi Ellis

I have mine on an agreed value of 180k GBP with Manning - it is an RHD car with 39k miles. (I got the valuation from JZM when it was being serviced a couple of months back.) ATDO track days are covered, so this includes all PCGB days, albeit with a hefty 10% excess for any track day claims, but I think that is pretty normal.

I hope this helps.

Hi Ellis,

Just been through the same nonsense myself.

Valuation by Peter Morgan (£225k from last years £130k !) , 3k mile per year policy arranged via Classicline.

No trackdays for me anymore, car alarmed (PA1000) but no tracker.

Hope this is of some help.
