Insurance Valuation SW London

Hi

I'm in the process of buying my dad's 993 off him as he is getting on a bit and hardly ever uses it! Its a 95 C4 in polar silver with 75k on the clock. All major jobs done, both screens have been out to deal with the usual rust issue, door strap replaced, suspension recently changed, new clutch.

The last insurance valuation about 12 months ago was at £26k, I now need to get it insured in my name and up in SW London. I would like to get a new valuation of it for the agreed insurance value, I was thinking between £32k to £35k would be sensible?

Could anyone recommend someone in SW London/Surrey who can do this?

Thanks
Tom

I think the club will provide valuations for members.

Does anyone know who can do this as I need a valuation for my car to get agreed value cover as well.

Many thanks

hi Teppy. May I ask what you changed suspension wise and if you noticed any great change in the handling? Many thanks.

hi Teppy. May I ask what you changed suspension wise and if you noticed any great change in the handling? Many thanks.

My dad was running Bilstein adjustable shocks with eibach springs previously. It was very hard and low but the handling was great (use to track the car).

Changed the springs to Porsche MO33's, this has put ride height back up by about 20mm and slightly softened the car but hardly noticeable so a bit of a waste of time, still bangs and crashes along our fantastic roads! handling is very similar.

Will need to change the shocks if I want to make it more compliant, I can live with it for now.

Tom
