Insurance - The real story

So Insurance is up on 24th......theres gonna be tears before bedtime I hear you say......well I made a few calls......

My current inusrnace of the 997Tub and Audi A6 Lemans comes in at a whopping 2 grand made up from 1400 + 600 respectively. The numbnut on the phone from A-plan just expected me to renew and when I said... nah the service has been pish I will call around I thought I'll try the PCGB way.

I got a few tips and hints from the guys at heritage.

Firstly the PCGB scheme they have with a company won't do cars over 50k so thats the PCGB discount scupperred but heres the current 911 quote from them.

Full NCB - no accidents claims or convitions

me to drive with 6k a year is £900 - a bit pricey for plain old non agreed value no trackdays cover policy
me + wife to drive 6 a year is £737 - eh I hear yoyu say - let a woman on the policy and it goes down?
me + wife + garage a year is £686 - now we are getting somewhere!!!

Interesting to see how it changes with different options.

all had my using a 2nd car too.

So the moral of the story is even if it's yer gay lover get them on the policy or just make up your married and not a loner like Scott and you'll get a discount!!! [:D]

Yep, it works the other way around as well "¦ my wife saves money on her Mini's insurance by naming me as second driver.

Doesn't need to be a wife, could be yer mum. I don't think it even needs to be a relative, anyone of a female persuasion will do. So there's still a chance for Scott [;)].

Hadn't heard of it working the other way round though Tony.
