Insurance help with new model

Please help, I am getting 'comedy' high quotes from the insurance dealers right now for my new Cayenne S Diesel. I think it's because it's a new model and it's not on anyone's systems yet.

Anyone gone through this before, being one of the first in the country to insurance a new model?

And where in general is a good place to insure a Cayenne? ...certainly not the same places I get good quotes for my 911!!

When I collected my new 2nd hand car last week from Porsche, their insurance was the best by far

Thanks Charlie - I was told a 48 hour turnover from Marsh (Porsche Insurance), so I am still waiting.

Direct Line has been the cheapest thus far at about £1180. Hugely more than my old RS6 (which was more expensive, more powerful, more of a desirable car to thieves, etc) and even a lot more than my 911 Turbo is!!

A broker managed to get a competitive quote from Zurich but only if I move my 911 too (not due to Dec so will be penalties) - Zurich are usually the best for multi-car policies. The KN on it's own at Zurich is the worst quote yet though!
 
Presumably it will be group 20 and worth a more than your 911 Alex - so I guess the premium will be higher! I reckon on waiting to hear what Marsh come up with. They have consistently been the best for me. It's incredible that even though the model was announced ages ago the insurance companies don't appear to be up to speed - then again on second thoughts I suppose it's to be expected........[&:]
 
Marsh were half the price of the usual suspects for both the 991 and Cayenne last year, and the renewal for the C2S was the same this year. So definitely worth seeing how they come in Alex.
 
I completely agree with the "wait for Marsh" brigade. I have both my C2S and KND with them and they were by far the best quote. Both cars £1100 from memory.
 
comparison sites have been best for me of late.
but try LV then AXA who are trying to get back into the UK car side

I have 2 cars insured with Manning Uk on a family fleet policy
Cayman S & John Cooper Works Mini & it come is at £756
& I have just had a refund for winter layed up cover of £144
so taken that into account this compay is worth a look as they
have an advert in the Porsche Club Magazine & the person I deal
with is Gyles Haigh-Austin or Michael Briggs - 01491 578759.
