insurance crazy ?

proenca

i now have a good amount of money ( around 10k ) to buy a 968, which I think that would allow me to buy a good model.

Now my main problem is insurance ; at 9/10k priced cars, all companies require compreensive insurance which sky rockets the price for somethin in the range of 3k per year...

Anyone can get their 968 with Third Party and Theft insured ? If so, which insurance ? I visited dozens of insurances and I dont understand : insuring a 928 and even a 964 is cheaper than a 968 !!!!

Im 29, EU driving licence for 1 year and few months, 1 year NCB, resident in the UK since 2006. Steady job, whats wrong here? I can try to insure the 968 for 4k only and that way I get access to TPF schemes but the cheapest still would be around 1.8k ...

Any help ? I cant belive that I cannot buy a 968 because of the insurance.. Im ready to pay 1k or so, but 1.8k for a fake declared value is too much and 3.5k for a compreensive ( whcih i dont need anyway ) is way over the top.

I am amazed you are getting such high quotes. I was 29 when I got my 968 and I think I paid £800ish with Direct line and that was with business use.

Try Classic Line, I was with them on a 5K policy and paid under £500. It will be better when you reach 30 because many of the specialist insurers wont touch anyone under 30.
