Indicator Seals - Are they available

It may seem like my 944 has a couple of niggles but don't they all?

My car decided that the N/S/F indicator would stop working and then work again! Upon inspection it seemed that the earth terminals (for where the housing touches the bulb) had corroded up. And so I cleaned them up, put some contact grease on the bulb and fitted it. At the same time I noticed that the there were a few flies etc. present just behind where the indicator lens sits. And so I thought as to whether a seal was missing

On some listings I have noticed that vendors sell new lenses with seals? Do these go around the edge of the lens themselves or am I barking up the wrong tree?:

Upon going to my local OPC to investigate whether I could obtain the seals seperately, it seems that I would have to buy a pair a lenses (around £27 and £18 respectively) so as to obtain the seals.

Do these seals prevent the ingress of water and debris as I think? If so, is there another vendor who sells the seals separately?

The seals fit into the groove around the light unit itself and the lens/cover fits over and tightens onto the seal.
They do leak and get damp behind the lens.

What Eddie has said, the complete units were surprisingly cheap a couple of years ago, circa £15 each with the gasket, but 944 parts prices seem to jump about all over the place from OPC !
Usually going north, makes me wonder sometimes if they want to see them off the road, i have a receipt for MO30 rear shocks @ £49 each now add £100 to that ??? []

But £150 or so for a rear shock is still buttons! I need a rear shock or my QP, and they are only available direct from Maserati, at £750. And that's not the end of it. You can only buy them in pairs!!!!

I thought I had found a specialist who could get the seals. But I have been informed that this is not so.

New lenses it is it seems with seals []. But do I go clear or for for orange?

What are the seals made from? Is it not possible to buy a roll of the seal, then sell it in cut sections to other 944 owners at a massive mark-up? [8|]
