In the market for a Boxster!!

I'm looking to buy a Boxster, something low mileage and around 2001/2002!

So what are the do's and dont's and what should I look for when viewing any possible purchases?? Full service history is a must!, but what else??
All help and advice greatly appreciated!![;)]
 
What's your budget? There's a few well known issues that will almost certainly be commented on here. You're on the right track though. Looking to buy a Box is a good first step. [;)]
 
If you do some searching you will be able to find out more details but main questions would be, given what you are looking for:
- Boxster or Boxster S (do you want the extra bit of power?)
- pre-facelift car vs post facelift car (and whether you can stretch your budget a bit or willing to trade off higher mileage for a newer car), facelift was in late 02 and amongst other bits changed the rear screen from glass to plastic, which makes it less hassle

Things to look out for, worth looking at the threads but an obvious one is the RMS (Rear Main Seal) issue, lots of info on this in the forum.

I think I'll stick to the Boxster and get it mapped for a little more bhp!, might have a pic up come Sunday if all goes to plan.
