Playmates .....

..... tis' the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness .....

Watch this space - ( weather permitting) we are looking to get a least a couple of glorious autumnal runs in through the Peaks sometime soon.

Hopefully 1 x midweek and 1 x weekend - more if we get a spell of decent weather ..... before all the trees lose their leaves!

Yellow the bracken golden the sheaves ..... old el Nino might bring us to our knees.....

Best regards to all.

That sounds great and I hope to be able to join you this time.

If you would like help preparing a Google Map and or Roads map I’m happy to help. I know they won’t be required if it’s a small number of cars.

Hi Roger.

Thanks for your interest.

We should be able to find a date which fits - as ever the runs will be for small groups of up to 5 or 6 cars so whilst a Mitec radio may be handy to bring along we usually manage without going to the trouble of creating maps/ route guides etc - thanks all the same.

Unfortunately Ratty Pugster is out of action at present - we have been waiting for an oil pipe to come from Porsche for a week or so - the minute it arrives we will get it fitted and put Ratty back in action again and then we will be listing some dates.

Best regards.

Playmates.

As promised ..... below is a list of dates for our forthcoming series of 'Autumn Leaf Blower' runs through the Peak District - hopefully there is one for you.

#1 Saturday 17th October (now incorporating The Yondermann Breakfast Meet)
#2 Tuesday 20th October - 3 places left
#3 Thursday 22nd October
#4 Sunday 25th October
#5 Tuesday 27th October

Following a quick cup of coffee our departure will be @ 09:30 each day from The Woodman Bar at Tankersley Manor Hotel Church Lane Tankersley Barnsley S75 3DQ - situated on the A61 2 minutes from M1 J36.

We will cover approx 180 to 200 miles during the runs so please ensure you fill up with petrol before we leave (there is a Shell Station on the A61/A616 roundabout which is virtually next door to the hotel and is located at Maple Road Tankersley Barnsley S75 3DL).

No route guides or goole maps etc will be issued for any of the runs and each run is limited to 5 cars max. A Mitec radio is a handy thing to have so bring one if you can.

We should be out for 6 to 8 hours approx each day and will be stopping at various points for food /drinks/photographs /calls of nature etc.

Many people say that autumn is the abolute best time to drive The Peaks - hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we will be able to enjoy some glorious driving roads and superb scenery.

Best regards to all,

El Zeusy

Playmates,

Well ..... Saturday was a simply superb driving day - dry sunny and with very light traffic throughout - I have a few pics which I will post later.

This week however looks like being an altogether different story weather wise and so this being the case we will postpone runs #2 to #5 until things improve.

I have driven many many miles in the rain - when I have had to - and so now that I have a choice I prefer to drive in the dry for fun.

Thanks & best regards to all.
