Idling High

Just back from a Great Weekend at 50th Event. Car performed well all weekendand 1050miles covered, but whilst away it started idling high, sometimes 1800 rpm, a quick blat on the throttle usually sorted it but rather embarracing at lights or in slow moving traffic.
Any ideas what's causing it?

Had exactly this on Friday and the two nuts that hold the throttle cable in position on the bracket next to the throttle cam had come loose. The cable had backed off and was holding the throttle body under tension so it wasn't closing. 5 mins with a spanner and some blue locktite and all fixed.
