I will post in the wanted section but need to know if you can get 8" x 16 D 90`s??

I want to swap my 9" x 16 for 8" x 16

(its for another car)...............not the Golf [;)]

Apparently they do according to this website:-

http://www.944racing.de/reload.php?urltogo=http://www.944racing.de/felgengewichte.html

And they are 9.9kg's each!

Paul - missed the subtle (not so!) hint. Have you been spending money behind the missus' back again?!

Thanks Scott but no.

I am spending on the Golf but its pennies as I am cutting/shutting/fabricating myself and I already have the wheels on it that allow for mahoosive brakes (also ready to go on this week).

I`ve not had so much fun in years, smiles, waves, young kids pointing, thumbs up, offers to buy it, Corsa`s and Uno`s up yer chuff all the time with Burberry capped drivers trying to race you off the lights - superb, every drive is an experience. It flies, it handles, its bloody loud, its jiggly, it goes an unbelievable way past three figures *cough* and I`m totally smitten. Its like having a Westy again (but with a roof) So.................you`ll find that I`m concentrating more on this than the 951 which has taken a big back seat, certainly does it all but without real excitement (for me anyway).

I`ll only tell what I`m up to when or if I get the 8`s or swap the 9`s [;)]

Paul,

You've just reminded me why I love Mk1 Golfs again ... they are superb little cars!

Given that selling 944's seems to be quite the in thing on this site nowadays, I wonder if I should try and flog my S2 and buy another Mk1 Golf .... ?

Well Paul, it's horses for courses, have the 951 for cruising fun and the Golf as a dedicated track toy. Having one car to do many tasks mean you'll always have to make compromises. I love driving my 951 but realise it is compromised, but given that I havn't got the time, space or funds to run more than one toy it fits the bill. I must admit I can see the appeal with what you're doing.
