Hello,

I have a bit of an annoying problem. I have a c4s conv.

The windows don't go up or down with one touch - I have to hold the button all the time.

I read about the window shut reset function and i have carried that out. The workaround worked but the next time i got into my car, same again.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Nozer

Hi Nozer,

I have a coupe 2002/3 C4S model and it does the same, have owned the car for 10 years and assumed this was the normal operating mode...
cheers

Try this it should work, this function can be lost after a battery disconnect but it should last. (no idea why if not though)
Hold window down button until window fully open, and keep holding button down for 10 seconds. Release button. Hold window up button until window fully closed, and keep holding button up for 10 seconds
good luck

hi Andy, I tried this before and it did work for a while but stopped. Couldn’t pinpoint when it stopped.

anyway tried it again, so far so good.

btw, passenger window, that doesn’t seem to work on one touch operation (either on up or down) - would that be another strange Porsche safety function? Is there a way to bypass that?

Yes, it is some kind of safety thing. It also seems to vary by model year. IIRC, the pre-facelift cars did one-touch on both sides, but the facelift only on the driver's side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Hi Andy. So this lasted until just now Monday 1710. That’s approx 3 days.
There’s been no battery disconnection.

any thoughts what the next steps is?

Sorry Nozer, I'm not sure how or in what the memory is stored.
Richard may be able to advise.

Hi Andy, just to add to the conundrum, the passenger door was fine. It continues to operate as 1 touch, for now.

+1 for Richard... my 2004 only has one touch on the drivers side.
