How many UK RHD 356's?

Been researching the History of my cars, but one thing both intrigues me and eludes me. How many 356's were actually imported through AFN when the cars were current? Given the price of the cars when new (compared to say a Healey or a Jag) I imagine it's a pretty small number. But how small and how do I find, or rather where can I find out?
It would also be fascinating to find out how many of these are known to survive?

Best guys to ask a PR Services - understand they hold the best records http://www.prs356.com/

Could try the 356 secretary but dont think he has ever been on here[:-]

I believe there were in total about 1100, 356 model cars that were imported by AFN into GB up to 1965, not all were RHD. I also believe that only about 60 remain.
John is correct that PR Services may well know all of the details as last I heard they were collating the details prior to writing a book about the RHD cars in GB.

Crumbs! Is that so? There must be more than sixty survivors? I thought that fifty turned up at Hedingham last year? Looks like I'll be buying the book then, when it comes out....
