Is the Strasse one a Cup ? It has the ECU in the rear footwell ?

No, its a Clubsport. The ECU is located behind the drivers seat in the footwell. I believe the car was written off on a Track Day in the North East area and repaired etc.

Not that many accounted for, the difficulty is working out how many of the 292 odd produced are actually left as opposed to those that didn't make it back after their trip to the track!

I think the black one had a Ring/Spa Attack! It was E-Bay a year or two ago, had a Fencemeister Motec I think.

So that makes about 10 UK cars so far my betting is about 15 Max.

47 Uk C16 Cars including 7 Touring plus a number of ROW RHD cars imported from Far East which I know of about 10......rare as rocking horse shizen...keep them...as you know they are now £50K+ cars in top nick...[:D] Porsche originally targeted 150 for the UK market, but no demand....they were between £15-20K more expensive than a well spe'd C2 at the time and nearly Turbo money. The UK public could not get their head round them. Porsche GB did a few little mods when they arrived in the UK to make them more appealing, including many with a Cup Pipe and brake scoops.

Supposedly 71 built, so we in the UK account for 57 of them ?

I wonder how many LHD Lighweights (Sports/ Basics ?) are now here ?

Some RHD have been exported back including C16 to far east, Australia and S.A.

LHD in UK again subjective would guess about 200....with 110 roughly on the Register....these cars are now sought Worldwide both RHD/LHD....keep them boys, as I predicted 7 years ago prices would nearly double we are not far off...they have a long way to go yet...[;)]

I have suspected this was so but have never been able to find evidence for it. Have you anything firm? I just want to have as complete a data base as possible,

In addition, I always thought that there were 47 lightweights PLUS 7 Touring.

I belive this is the case, however if a Touring owner could post a chassis number this would help, as there seems in my chassis numbers no difference between lightweight and Touring or RHD/LHD, it is listed as follows:

911 Carrera RS Coupe Basic (Lightweight) and Touring 96 NS 49 0001 - 96 NS 49 2050

This was confirmed to me verbally by an OPC several years ago, from a chap who did know his stuff, and showed me an original invoice with the mods included in the new price, he was selling a beautiful RHD GP White Lightweight with only 15,000 miles which he would have sold for £34,000 with full OPC history and warranty, the car stuck around for a while and think it went for a bit less. This was about 7 years ago!

There are Anoraks around Mr Whippy.....[;)]

You're telling me.......[8|]

Certainly needed them at Bromley Padge last week [:)]

It is amazing though, if you say something enough times on an internet forum amongst a relatively small group,,,,it almost becomes a fact.??????? [;)]
