How do they know?

My neighbour has a quad bike in his back garden shed. Without proper thought, he knocked his house down and built a bigger one, with only a narrow side access.

It never hits much speed in his garden.

I have spent many, long hours in the company of Dr Johnson, Simon. All of them throughly enjoyable ... and none of which involved the word "Calumny".
