Hi - new to here and based in North Essex so I thought I would say hi :) I have a 1974 911s in Mexico Blue and now it is up and running having been rescued from a garage last summer I am looking forward to getting out to some Essex events - hope to meet some of you soon.

Hi Chris,

It's great when someone new posts to this lonely register! Welcome to the club from Region 11. There are actually (since you joined) 682 members in the region but ssshhhh, we wouldn't want to wake them!

That car of yours looks lovely. It must be one of the earliest impact bumper cars. There are a few others of that era belonging to local members including one of the first ever rhd turbos.

As you are based in the North of the region you will find our club nights are pretty easy to get to, near Witham, and the next one is this Tuesday 8 March. Please don't bring that lovely machine along as the roads will be full of corrosive salt. This is the location: http://www.rivenhalloaksgolf.com/ any time from after 7:30pm. We will be having a talk from Garry Sorrell who is after-sales manager at Porsche Centre Colchester. He is a good one to ask about parts for older cars. Fancy it?

Lots of other events on. If you didn't get our latest newsletter sent yesterday I can forward you a copy.

Best regards,

Greg

Hi Greg

That sounds good - I will be there on Tuesday - look forward to meeting you then. You are right about the salt - I will leave her resting in the garage!

See you then

Chris

Hi Stephen

I think I am close enough to make the drive - especially on a nice warm summers day! I will keep an eye out and thank you for letting me know about the group

Excellent!

Hi all,

It was great to see a good turnout at the meeting on Tuesday and nice to meet fellow enthusiasts - I look forward to meeting and talking to more of you next time and on the drive days which I am booking asap. I just hope my 2.7 can keep up!

[:D]

Hi Chris,
Great meeting you too. I was waiting for the question about discount parts for older cars but it sounds like your restoration is done. Can't wait to see it later this year.
Cheers,
Greg

Thank you. It takes a bit of work, but I think it's worth it. As a [ex-]member of the former DMP Team, I couldn't really justify anything less!
