Looks good. What type of switch does it have. Matt or gloss or did you have to specify at point of ordering ?

I can't believe that Porsche M96/96 engines have powder sintered crankshafts & con rods-can anyone confirm this, please.

I know but the guy selling the IMS sensor -link on Richard's post above -seems to think they are sintered-so much for experts.[&o]

Oh, that Richard not this Richard. [;)]

I checked both 3.4 and 3.6 engine specs, and they both say forged rods and crank. I'm fairly sure the X51 they refer to uses a standard crank too. Seems very odd what they are saying.

I thought all water cooled are lokasil coated.

But in all fairness it doesnt matter what they are!

They FAIL and thats why the IMSG is a no brainer!.

Broken cod rods, Chunks out of cylinder liners , IMS bearings.
the IMSG is there for all of them.

Thanks Richard,

My advice to anyone would be for the price of your road fund licence head over to Wrightune and get ordering.
[:D]

Well the reason I bought myself one was rather than riping apart my Oil filter every time I change my oil.
This can do it for me 7,24,365. As I want to know about any metals floating around my engine!.

There will be add ons for front diffs and gearboxes as well so I hear.

Small price to pay for potentially something that could do some serious damage to your car and wallet.

Had a look at the video on Wrightune. Seems very straight forward.

Looking forward to finding out your experiences once you fit yours.

So are you doing it yourself or getting a garage to do it? If its a garage would you mind telling us how much fitting costs.

Cheers

Chris

Sorry did it myself,

Its a basic system that I am sure will earn Jake Raby a $million.

Is it worth it ? YES.

Every time I put my foot down I don't have to get religious.

I was amassed how clean it was inside my sump.

Don't kid yourself like I did that there's plenty of extra cable because there's not I mounted my switch next to the radio in the end and not by the handbrake like I originally planned. the cable length was pretty much exact.

Also don't forget that to complete a circuit you need an earth! DOH'.
