Help with front Zunsport grills for Boxter S with parking sensors

I bought some front Zunsport grills for my 981, and have managed to get 5 out of 6 fitted but just can't get the driver's side top one fitted. It just won't get the clip behind the parking sensor. I have tried lots of times and I'm worried about damaging the parking sensor. The video from Zunsport isn't great as very quick and it just clips in so easily, but mine doesn't.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mine are a vary tight fit but the parking sensors will move slightly if the grille is "encouraged". I've had 2 x 981s and seem to remember that the driver's side was worst on both cars (using the same set of grilles). Alternatively, I have found Zunsport's customer service excellent; I am sure if you contact them and explain the problem they may ship you a replacement to see if that fits better. It might be worth you measuring exactly what needs to change to make it fit better - you never know, they may be able to modify the design slightly and use you as a test case, especially as others have reported the same problem. A photo of mine on my first 981 was actually used on their web site, but that was about 10 years ago!

Thanks Brian. That’s really helpful. It felt like to tab that goes behind the parking sensor was too short. With a lot of sweat I have now got it fitted. I will contact Zunsport and give them the feedback of how tricky it was.

Fitted the grills to my 981 and during a visit to my independent, discussed how tight they were to fit, the advised removing the front bumper and fitting from the back - they completed this in 30 minutes, and they look a lot better now.
