Hello

944turboS

New member
Hi to all of you that have spotted this new addition to the regional forums.
First off I should introduce myself, My name is Graeme Burnett & I live in Telford (near enough the birthplace of the industrial revolution without which our beloved Porsches may not exist) I currently own a 1989 944 Turbo S with M030 suspension & a few other tweeks. This is my 5th Porsche, I started out with a 1977 924 4speed manual windows, then a 924S (163BHP) which I took to New Zealand, whilst there I traded it against a 1988 944 Turbo (220BHP) which stayed in NZ when I came home, since my return to the UK I have owned a 1987 944 2.5L and finally my current car.
I hope through this forum we will be able to build a better club involvement for all of us that live around this area & also members from bordering areas such as West Midlands, Cheshire, North Wales & anyone else that cares to join us.
Over the next few days I will be posting threads for the events that I already know are coming up, if anyone has any suggestions or additions please feel free to start you own threads.

Graeme,

Did you fit the Mo30 set up to your car. If so, did you notice a big difference?

my cousin has a 944 turbo, the suspension is a bit knackered from a few years of ring trips and he fancies the Mo30 set up. However, i think he wants some feedback from someone who has done something similar before he pays out.

Hi Gary,

My current car has the M030 as a factory fit from new but my 220HP Turbo had the standard suspension. The M030 give a much firmer ride with much less body roll, I would personally recomend it as a good thing to look for if your buying a Turbo. As for your cousin's car I would look at some of the aftermarket options, see the 944 forum, as they will be more readily available & could give an even better setup if his buget allows.
