Hi guys,

one week into 944 ownership so thought I would post up here. Loving the car so far, but it isn't without its faults, so will be working through these in due course.

In the meantime, please have a picture of it alongside my other long term project!

Hello and welcome to the joys (and occasional tribulations !) of 944 ownership. Recognize your user name from the recent 944 thread on PH so very glad you took the plunge and bought yourself one and that you have found your way to this forum. Its a real mine of information, camaraderie (and commiseration if needs be [;)] ) If you have any questions to ask or problems to solve, chances are the answer will be found within the collective wisdom and experience of folk here. [:)]

Welcome. Just for future reference, no 944 ever has "faults", they have "opportunities for improvement" [;)]

Welcome here Olly - hope nothing major on the faults front? Looks odd someone else putting up pics of 'my' car! [:D] That front strut is sat here for you if you'd like it still? Cheers Andy

Hia, Thank you. Faults maybe a strong word, but the brakes aren't right. Suspect and hope it is just some air in the system. Over the next year I hope to go through the brakes, suspension and belts, with attention to other non-essentials like the rattling heat shield. Then more power. Definitely more power. And a wheel refurb.

Yes, uber busy atm, but will pop over one night. Thanks

No probs, just give me a text/call. Brake fluid was changed not so long ago so wouldn't have thought it's air in the system?

Aye, but try the easy stuff first.

I had a 944 of the same age when only three years old and it's brakes were the same. I drove your car and they felt like mine did.

Olly, congratulations on your lovely 944t, as said, they all have opportunities for improvement which often get gilded with while your in there improvements. Nice 535i, it has the tail pipes toward the centre at an angle....? George 944t

They can't manage more than 2 hard stops presently, so something isn't right.

No that doesn't sound right - like you say easy things first but will be interested to see what the problem is
