Hi, just a quick introduction, I'm Peter Webb and have been asked by Johnny McGirl, our Register Director, to kick off as Register Secretary for the new 991 and get the 991 Forum underway. As you can see, our IT chums have moved a few relevant threads across from the 997 Forum to get the ball rolling.

A quick bit about myself for those who don't know me. I've been a serial Porsche offender for over 25 years, starting with a secondhand Minerva Blue 924 Auto(!) in 1983 (long story), a couple of 944s through to 964, 993, 996, 997 Gen 1 and 2. My wife Lesley has had a couple of Boxsters and a couple of Cayennes including her current car. We've been members of the Club since goodness knows when, but my mem no 2671 must be from a good few years ago.

I hope that we can generate some interest for the new models over the coming weeks and months, as the various iterations are regularly announced in the usual Porsche fashion, and get prospective buyers to compare notes and suggestions on options, colours etc. I have ordered my own car for delivery next March, but have not finalised spec yet. I'll keep that for another thread.

Eventually it would be good to organise dedicated 991 events and take part in main Club events too, but as with the 997 launch back in 2006, it will take time to get enough active new owners on board.

We've enjoyed numerous events with the Club but particularly with the 997 Register and made many good friends. I'm sure we'll have the opportunity to join forces with Gary, Jo and his team on future events and vice versa until we have critical mass.

I would love to hear from prospective owners what advice, information, activities and events that they want from the Register.
