Hi,
Last year I posted a problem that the headlights wouldn't go up and down - I received some good advice but unfortunately almost 9 months on, [&:], I'm no further on.
Where I'm at is as follows, I've:
1. Bench tested the motor and it moves as it should in situ and disconnected from the headlight mechanism - infact I brought a second one just in case there was an issue with the first, they both work.
2. Replaced the headlight switch
3. Replaced the relay, and checked it using a very helpful video on you tube
4. Checked the meter readings off of the leads into the motor and they are not like the Clarks garage, so do I have an earthing problem?
5. All of the headlights, indicators etc work as they should
So, with point 4 being the odd one out, its got to be an issue with the wiring loom so I've tried to trace it around the engine bay, but I lose it a bit, does anyone know exactly the route it takes ?
Is it a case of just replacing the 4 cables that feed into the headlight motor? Or do I replace only one?
Does anyone have any other ideas as I've done a lot of research on t'internet and can't really find anything new to try other than replacing the wiring?
Also, does anyone know of any breakers in the south east, other than the one at Pease Pottage, Sussex, where I might go and grab a few spare parts?
Thanks in advance
