Headlight Adjustment

My headlights are sitting flush and square but the drivers side is slightly to close to the wing[:(]

how do I adjust it .....I know to adjust forward and black and up and down.......but how do I go sideways????

Someone must have done this ? I want want to try and sort it this weekend....HELP[:(] Allso I have noticed my new bonnet has a slightly different curvature to the wings...it sits about 4mm to high in the middle...it is OK at the hinge and headlight, Im guessing it has moved when it was stripped and dipped[:(]..is it possable for a good body shop to alter this without damaging my new paint? thanks Ken
 
There are shims to move the headlights from side to side behind the triangular headlight mount. One in the wing side will see the headlight move nearer the badge panel. You may be able to do this without pulling the headlight out. But the wheel arch liner at least will need removing, possibly bumper to gain access to the three bolts holding the mount in place
 
IIRC you can just about reach the three securing bolts from inside the wing when the wheel arch liner is removed but II also RC it is a right PITA!!!
 
Thanks, so if I want to increase the gap from wing to light I have to add shims ?.....do I loosen the bolts and slot in the shims, or do I have to remove them totally?
 
Sounds like your bonnet has been dropped at some point before it was painted.If you drop it on it's nose there is a chance it will bow in the middle,as described.A good old fashioned body man could straighten it by hand (I have watched my friend do this ) but I wouldn't have the guts to do it myself as I would be too scarred of damaging it.You could try applying pressure across the bonnet at the high point by placing soft weight onto the area,much like you do with a bowed sunroof.But personally I would go and find a propper coach builder and get him to do it.And by a propper coach builder I mean a real one not just the biggest shinniest body shop in your area.
