Chaps,

I know we have managed to destroy the ego's of several sellers of 924/944's on here of late, but have we tried this one:

In fact, it looks like this is a service that they can perform for you, to make your (innocent, unmolested) 924 into your very own monstrosity. (Orange paint an optional extra, natch).

Oli , I know that I have a history of posted up links to a few of these beautifully individualised vehicles in the past, but I would like to make it clear that I only ever do so to bring them to the attention of the discerning Porsche buyer.

I would also ad that it is NEVER my intention to mock the seller !

( HONEST !) [:D]

I think they are getting worse...lol, if this outfit are selling these custom made to order I wonder if they have been tested for safety? There's little detail in the advert but I'd have thought they would have at least stated that the two raised area's behind the seats have anti-roll bars fitted inside, if not what's going to stop you getting decapitated if you roll the car? Also if you sate that the engine has been rebuilt and cleaned why not show the engine bay?
add to all this and more I have to say it looks awful, clever perhaps but I'd bet no strengthening has been done to the chassis so you may bend it on hitting the first pot-hole...:)

Not impressed....

This is from 'Autograph' the trouser snake 924S wally.

I believe that I started a thread about this car and other 'Autograph' monstrosities a few months ago.

..................and they cant even get the flux capacitor switches back plate evenly spaced between the screws!!!

.......................oh, and WTF is the badly positioned blanking plate behind the gear lever? Safety cover for the ejection seat?

...................oh, and they've lost the glove box lid...................and is that wiring hanging below and to the left of the glove box?

........................oh, and how do wind up the windows - oh, you dont, there arent any!

....................oh, and how do you open the doors.............they`ve stuck a sheet of black polycarbonate on the door!

On the rear please tell me they are parking sensors and not for a smoke screen or tear gas - or are they thrusters?

Absolutely hideous..............................................it is a wind up right?.................please tell me it is?

Yes, Paul, it is. It's a wind up. A wind up of everyone who has an ounce of taste, style and enough vision to tell a fox from a fax machine. It's a big, fat wind up of all the decent, well-meaning 944 owners on here, spoiling - nay, vandalising! - perfectly good 924/44/68's to create some vision of a machine of golgothic terror (with extra orange-y goodness).

I agree. It's vile. (But am I the only one who kinda likes that rear 3/4 shot?)

Mein Gott in Himmel...................

I was so shocked I looked up their web site and saw this..................................my eyes, my eyes.......................

I wonder what they suggest one does when it rains, I know it's unlikely to happen here in the UK but it would be nice to know you won't get wet if it did....:)

Yeah, that SNAKE beauty has been done on here before. Simon alluded to it above.

Lovely, isn't it?

Oli.

Not sure if Chester Zoo will release it from the reptile house for the journey south to the NEC i November[;)]

At least they are keeping prices up ! their stock is shocking, i have still not saw one they are selling that would be considered.

Does any one know if these guys have a monopoly on buying up bad taste cars or do they themselves actually do this to some poor unsullied 944/924?

In hindsight, these things driving about on the queens will certainly give the 924/944 a very bad image, compulsory purchase and break for spares i say. []
