Rotary Club of Chepstow & District 18th Wye Run Classic Car Event 2020 - Saturday 02 May 2020

I thought I would mention this classic car event being held in Chepstow in May. As President of the Rotary Club of Chepstow & District I am involved in the organisation- all money raised for good causes. It's a great event and you would be more than welcome in your classic/interesting car!!

Could you please forward this to anyone you may think would be interested.

Press release below:
"The success and popularity of the last 17 Classic Car Runs organised by the Rotary Club of Chepstow & District has led to this event becoming a welcome addition to the calendar for classic car enthusiasts. The Wye Run is a non-competitive event for classic and interesting cars and the people who enjoy using them. The aim of the organizers is to provide a memorable and leisurely drive through our lovely countryside, to provide onlookers with the spectacle of interesting cars, and to raise money for worthwhile charities supported by the Rotary Club of Chepstow & District

This year the Run will set off from Chepstow Garden Centre from 0900 on Saturday 2 May. The route has been carefully selected, keeping to lesser-used scenic roads through the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons. Don't worry, those dreadful rains will surely be well behind us by the end of April! Bring your own lunch or picnic and stop to enjoy it where you please along the route. If you choose to dine out there are a variety of eating places along the way.
Entry this year will be limited to some 100 cars. The entry fee is £25 for each car for which drivers will receive full route instructions and a Monte Carlo style "Rally Plaque”. Those wishing to take part in this event on Saturday 29 April 2017 are now invited to reserve their place. The Entry Application Form and details are at the Chepstow Rotary web site: http://www.chepstowrotary.co.uk/or by eMail at: rotarywyerun@gmail.com
Entrants should arrive at Chepstow Garden Centre before 0830am for a 9.00am start. Breakfast will be available at the Garden Centre. At the end of the Rally refreshments will be on sale and Rally cars will remain on display up to 5pm, at which time participants will be awarded completion certificates, photographs of their cars and, of course, the prizes. Refreshments will be available.
So put the date Saturday 29 April 2017 in your diary to see the cars launched by the chequered flag at Chepstow Garden. But, best of all, if you have a classic car, enter now by web site or email to reserve your place it what will surely be a most enjoyable event "
