Halfords glitch for oil

Hi all, halfords have 30% off oils at the moment, own brand and mobil. If you add to basket it takes discount off again so seems even cheaper. Ie double discount.

I know oil has been done to death but what is the mobil one suggested for turbos? 120000 km, uses a bit, fastish road use and maybe one track day a year.

For Turbos, people seem to recommend either Mobil 1 10W40 for road use or 10W60 Extended Life, for if you hammer the car.

Thanks, just reserved 10l of this

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_256851_langId_-1_categoryId_165581

For £27.42... And they offer a free top up service [:)]

The free top up means, I believe, that a spotty oil will top up your oil using your oil. Id imagine that they will struggle with the filler cap ...

Glad it worked, could not find the 10w60 when i ordered mine and now it seems not to be working. Seemed a good discount though!

Just tried to go to the halfords website and it is down for an MOT [>:], bet it wont be doing double discount when back up again

Collected 10 litres this morning. The guy on the counter said they had been told not to allow anyone to buy more than 5 cans. Obviously Halfrauds are now aware of the mistake and have dropped their website to fix it.

Cheers,

Site now back up but without any discounts.

Mum's the word ! I had ordered a original Porsche oil filter and was just wondering what oil to use .
Let's see if it comes through ;)

This man told me of a web site that highlights these glitches over loads of different online retailers ?

I for got the name of this web site ?

Thanks for the heads up :)

Clearly I missed it .... shame mind you I do have a lot of spare Synth oil in my garage from other bargains lol

Its 22 or 23 pounds each 5 litre elsewhere and Halfords are charging me 19.59 per 5 litre in my basket and at checkout.

No real genuine disvount there at all now sadly :(

Regards

Mas
