Hah Ha - An Essex Forum

Well the arrival of the Essex region forum went totaly un-noticed, untill I was prompted from "On High".

As some might have been complaining that there wasn't a R11 forum, I look forward to a galaxy of postings on a plethora of region related subjects.

I am further given to understand that our leader is the forum moderator which will be even more fun as we can see how far we can go befor getting moderated. Being a happy, and cohesive, region I can't see that anyone has any problems which would require the hand of moderation upon them.

In fact, despite nestling in the IT heartland of the country, I am not sure how many from Essex use the forum. It will be intersting to find out no doubt.

Many thanks to Martyn for attempting to map the technollogy wilderness that is Essex and a big HI to all the other Essex members sitting on the side lines.

I look forward to seeing lots of posts asking what Porsche goes with white stillettos, and best sun-strip suppliers [;)]

There doesn't seem to be a R12 forum! I wonder if R11 is nearer to me anyway...being in Ipswich. Maybe i'll pop along to your's if that's Ok.

Hi Carol,

Ipswich !?! Thats almost just down the road. Well not quite, but closser than some members travel.

We don't have a 968 currently, so we will certainly recognise you [;)] and we need a further point of reference for those of us with 944's.

Thinking further ahead, Ipswich is a mere stones throw from Snetterton so I can obviously put you down for the Static Porsche display on 23rd November at the British Heart Foundation event. Please!!! [:)]

So where do you guys meet? I'm on the Herts/Essex border and am trying to work out where my nearest rendez vous is.

Fraser

Hi Fraser,

The Regiment Way Golf Centre

Subject to how far North or South you are, you best route is either M25 - A12 -A130 or A120 from Stanstead to Gt Dunmow then A130 towards Chelmsford.

The December meeting is to be our Christmas Dinner.

A top quality event with live music from an equaly top quality 3 piece combo "3's Company" featuring renown blues guitarist Capt. Beaky.

The only down side, assuming you want any grub, is it has to be booked and paid for in advance.

I haven't got the details to hand but please refer to Porsche Post, and get your cheque off to Martyn forthwith (well as soon as the postal strike subsides).

My secretary (aka SWMBO) reliably informs me that the meal is £16.50 per head - a bargin at twice the price.
